Rock Island Armory now introduces the new Model CS 1911A1 pistol in caliber .45ACP. It is the compact version of the original full size Rock Island Armory Government Model 1911A1 and is considered as an optimum choice for concealable personal defence weapon.
The CS pistol has an overall length of 7 5/16″ or 1 1/2″ shorten than the full size Government Model and 1/2″ shorter than the medium size (MS) version. Use of a reverse recoil spring plug and a full length recoil spring guide which acts as a stabilizer ensures functional reliability and dampens felt recoil while at the same time making the manual cycle operation of slide easy and smooth. The magazine capacity is 6 rounds but can also accommodate the full size 7 or 8 round magazines.

The CS pistol utilizes the same features as with the parent full size model including the lowered and flared ejection port, extended ejector and beveled magazine well rel bushing.
